DAHLIA TUBER SALES HAVE CONCLUDED FOR 2024.

TUBER SALE
Dahlia tubers will be available for sale each spring. Email subscribers are notified first with sale details and any restocks. 

Some tubers have quantity limits so that more people have access to highly sought after dahlia varieties. Any purchase limits are noted in the listing title and description. These limits are per household, per season. If an order exceeds the specified limit, the order, in its entirety, will be cancelled and refunded.

In-stock tubers are available for purchase through May.

Dahlia tubers can sell fast. Items in your shopping cart are not reserved until you complete checkout and receive an email confirmation. 

 

DAHLIA TUBERS
All tubers are grown on my property for at least one season before being listed for sale. I do not buy or resell imported tuber clumps.

For each listing, you will receive a single tuber, that is firm and healthy, and has an active eye or sprout. Sprouts may be knocked off in storage or transit. This does not affect the health of the tuber.

Tubers vary in shape and size. You will receive nothing smaller than a AA-battery or thinner than a standard pencil. 

Mother tubers are not sent unless noted in the listing title and description.

Some tubers naturally have atypical shapes and sizes. As long as they have a sturdy neck and active eye (growth point), they are perfectly viable. 

Tubers are packaged individually, in a shipping medium such as vermiculite or peat moss. Each tuber is labeled on the actual tuber, as well as the packaging.

 

SHIPPING

US shipping only.

Tuber orders will begin shipping after the threat of frost has passed, usually around the middle to end of April, depending on your location.

Tubers are individually packaged and shipped via USPS Priority Mail.

1-4 Tubers - $10.50
5-8 Tubers - $12.00
9-24 Tubers - $19.00
25+ Tubers - $25.00

Any packages returned as undeliverable will incur a new shipping fee to be re-shipped.

Bassett Blooms cannot be held responsible for packages once they are handed off to the postal service. In the event of lost packages or significant damage to the box and/or contents, please contact the postal service. I recommend calling your local post office, not the 800 number, and talking with your postmaster. If a resolution is not reached, you may then reach out to Bassett Blooms via email and I will do my best to offer a solution.

 

LOCAL PICKUP
If you live near Shelley, Idaho, you can save on shipping and pick up your order. Use coupon code LOCAL at checkout. Location details will be emailed. 

 

ORDER CHANGES
All sales are final. Because of the volume of orders, changes or cancellations are not accepted. If you would like to add tubers to your original order, please place a subsequent order. I am happy to combine orders and refund excess shipping. **Please make a note at checkout, alerting me to combine, and referencing your previous order number.** Combined shipping refunds will be issued at the time of shipping.

 

FIELD PROCEDURES
Because viruses and disease can lie dormant, Bassett Blooms cannot guarantee tubers are 100% healthy. However, I watch for anything suspicious throughout the entire season of growing, digging, storing, and waking. Any suspicious plants or tubers are immediately culled and affected soil is disposed of. I do my best to keep pests at bay as organically as possible, especially with trap crops, companion planting, and beneficial insects. All tools are sanitized between plants at harvest, digging, and dividing. 

 

STOCK LOSS
I check on tubers several times while in storage, and I do my best to be conservative with inventory numbers. In the event of loss on my part, I will issue a refund for any tubers I am unable to send. Substitutions will not be made. 

 

ORDER CONCERNS
Please open the package and inspect your tubers immediately upon arrival. If there is any issue, please email your concerns to bassettblooms@gmail.com within 5 days of delivery. Please include your order number and detailed photos.

It is at the discretion of Bassett Blooms to provide a replacement or refund. Original shipping charges are non-refundable, so any refund will be for product amount(s) only. If a replacement is being sent, there will be no additional shipping fee.

Order concerns will not be handled over social media. 

 

FINALLY
Once you've received your package and had 5 days to reach out with concerns, Bassett Blooms cannot be held responsible for dahlia tubers now in your care. This includes storage until planting, growing conditions, weather, neglect, pest or rodent damage, early potting to take cuttings, winter storage, etc.
